When does my SSL certificate expire?
Enter a domain and we look up how long its certificate is still valid, exactly when it expires and who issued it.
We check exactly the hostname you enter on port 443. Other subdomains often have their own certificates and need to be checked separately.
Why this matters
An expired certificate effectively locks visitors out: browsers show a full-page warning that almost nobody clicks through. The damage equals an outage, except the cause is known and avoidable.
Most certificates renew automatically these days, for example via Let’s Encrypt. That is exactly why nobody notices when a renewal fails, until it is too late.
How much time left is enough
- More than 30 days: all good.
- 14 to 30 days: normal with auto-renewal, otherwise time to act.
- Less than 7 days: check whether renewal is actually running.
- Expired: act now, visitors already see the warning.

Do you check the certificate chain?
The tool shows expiry date and issuer. For a full analysis of the chain and supported ciphers, specialised tests are the better choice.
Can this be monitored continuously?
