When it changes, you know first.

Clesk Uptime fetches your page regularly, stores its text, HTML and CSS as a version and notifies you as soon as something changes. The comparison shows line by line what was added and what disappeared.

What you can keep track of

01

Versions, not guesses

Every change is stored as a version. You can see what changed and when, even weeks later.

02

Text, design or source

You decide what counts: the visible text, the stylesheets as well, or also links, images and scripts in the HTML.

03

Little noise

Pick one area with a CSS selector, ignore changing lines such as dates or counters, and get at most one message per hour.

For your own websites and client projects

Unwanted changes usually surface only when someone complains: a plugin update changes the page title, a paragraph disappears, foreign code suddenly shows up on the homepage. Change monitoring tells you right away, and the comparison shows exactly what happened. Deliberately without screenshots: it compares what is in the code. That makes it traceable, and animations or rotating images do not cause false alerts.

  • Your own websites and client projects: unwanted changes, errors after updates and injected code
  • Legal notice, privacy policy and terms: every change dated in the history
  • Pricing and product pages in your own shop: know when something changed

Set up in three steps

  1. 01

    Create or open a monitor

Change monitoring is an option on the monitor. The address can be a subpage too, such as the pricing page.

  2. 02

    Decide what counts

Visible text, design as well, or the full source. Optionally pick an area and ignore changing lines.

  3. 03

    Get notified and compare

When something changes, you get a message with an excerpt. In the history you compare every version as text, HTML or CSS.

Frequently asked questions

How does Clesk Uptime detect a change?

On every check the page is fetched and compared with the last stored version. Depending on your setting, the visible text including title, description, robots tag and canonical counts, the stylesheets as well, or also the markup with links, images and scripts. If anything differs, a new version is created and you are notified.

Does Clesk Uptime take screenshots?

No. It compares what is in the code: text, HTML and CSS. You see line by line what changed, and animations or rotating images do not cause false alerts. Content that only appears through JavaScript in the browser is not part of the comparison.

What about pages that change all the time?

You can limit the check to one area of the page (CSS selector) and ignore lines with changing content such as dates, times or counters. You also get at most one message per hour per monitor; further changes are bundled into the next one.

How often are pages checked and how long are versions kept?

Every 15 minutes, hourly, every 6 hours or daily, as you prefer. The last 100 versions per monitor are kept; a new version is only created when something changes.

Which plan includes change monitoring?

Pro (€79 per year including VAT) and Business, for every monitor in your plan and at no extra cost per page. Notifications use the same channels as outage alerts: email, Slack, Discord or webhook.
